Runaway: The Bolt driver drove up the stairs

The hard-to-believe driving of the Bolt taxi driver was noticed by the residents of a nearby house, who were watching everything from the window. They filmed his actions and published them on social networks in the past few days. “Hurry up and look out the window! He’s a moron, isn’t he? Jesus Christ!” can be heard commenting in disbelief accompanying the shocking footage. They show a white car with a Bolt sticker going down a hill. He rides through the park on the grass very close to the stairs.

Then it reaches a paved pedestrian path, but instead of using it, it continues downwards. This time, however, he can no longer ride on the grass next to the stairs, because he is obstructed on one side by the railing and on the other by planted bushes, and so the driver gets an apparently brilliant idea and takes it up the stairs without scruples!

The video appeared on social networks, saying that it was filmed in Prague’s Záběhlice. The driver received a lot of abuse and ridicule for his unprecedented maneuver. “Definitely (the car) is not his. If he did, he wouldn’t be doing such piggies,” wrote one of the commenters. “I’ve seen just about everything from Bolt,” another took a dig at the shipping company. “When your navigation unknowingly switches to pedestrian…” added another commenter as one of the possible explanations.

What impulse of the driver’s mind put him in such a situation is a mystery, but it is certain that he will have a lot to explain. The police are dealing with his actions. “The police officers are investigating the driver’s behavior for the possible commission of an illegal act. The operator of the vehicle will be asked to provide the name of the driver in question so that he can come and explain to us his driving over the vegetation and the sidewalk,” police spokesman Jan Rybanský told Blesk.

Bolt: Unacceptable!

His behavior was also mixed up by the Bolt company, which handles everything internally. “The safety of passengers and partner drivers is our top priority. Such behavior is against the Bolt platform policy and is unacceptable. We are currently investigating the whole case internally,” Soňa Stloukalová, Bolt’s manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, told Blesk.

It is possible that the driver will permanently leave the company. “In general, we take behavior that may lead to security threats very seriously. If such behavior is detected by any of the partner drivers, we draw appropriate consequences from it, including the possibility of terminating cooperation with the given partner. In these cases, we also provide full cooperation to the Police of the Czech Republic,” she added.
