After the accident, AC claimed to the police that he fell asleep or ended up in a short-term unconsciousness. According to Novinek information, this is a businessman who was actively involved in last year’s presidential elections, organized a fundraiser for the benefit of Petr Pavel.
According to information from Novinek, the primary care officer from the Motol hospital was also present at the accident, who, according to witnesses at the scene, tried to persuade the paramedics of the Prague rescue service to take the driver to the Motol University Hospital. However, they did not agree with this and complained to the policemen present on the spot. They insisted that he be transferred to the nearest hospital, in this case Bulovka. The rescuers have not yet responded to Novinek’s question regarding the alleged pressure to take them to Motola.
“We are investigating the accident as a suspicion of serious injury due to negligence,” police spokesman Jan Rybanský told Novinkám on Thursday. The Criminal Code provides for this section, depending on the seriousness of the crime, from two to eight years in prison.
