This year’s edition of the Euro Hockey Tour knows its winner: the Swedes took advantage of the Czechs’ hesitation in the evening, won the necessary victory against the Swiss, and now lead the series table by an unattainable seven points.
While Sweden registered their eighth triumph out of ten matches at the EHT, the Swiss have yet to win! Neither the home environment in Kloten nor the reinforcements from the NHL led by Nic Hischier and Jonas Siegenthaler helped them on Thursday.
Compared to the previous tournaments, from which they obtained only two points, however, Switzerland showed an improvement – they held a tie with Sweden until the 52nd minute and even outshot them on shots.
However, the promising goalkeeper from Minnesota did the magic
Jesper Wallstedt
goalkeeper, 21 years old
