Canada has not yet announced its roster for the World Cup, but another name has leaked to the public: 19-year-old center Adam Fantilli, the top three in the last NHL draft, will arrive in Prague.

“This season I only played in 49 games. I need to get back into it,” Fantilli is looking forward to the upcoming championship.

The talent from Columbus has not played since January due to an injured calf. Before that, he managed to collect 27 points (12+15) and clearly showed why the hockey public expects a bright future from him.

Let us remind you that the shapely forward already started at the World Championships last year in Riga and Tampere – then he contributed to the Canadian gold with three points in ten games.

He may not have been as prominent as expected, but… “A lot happened this year,” he reflected on his rookie season in the NHL in an interview with The Hockey News. “I’m really happy for how much I learned. It opened up because there are things you can’t learn on your own. It helped me improve.”

“This season I only played in 49 games. I need to get back into it.”

Will he be the team leader this time thanks to the experience gained?

In addition to him, Canada will also bring two other bright junior talents to the Czech Republic: Connor Bedard and Macklin Celebrini. “Yeah, on It sucks I am looking forward to! It will be fun,” Fantilli looks out for his partner from the golden MSJ 2023.
