Switzerland – Finland 1:3, Finland overpowered the Swiss at the Czech Games

--

In the eighth minute, Tyler Moy could have put the Swiss in the lead, who after returning from the penalty box got the puck and ran away, but hit the left post of Emil Larmi’s goal. In the 15th minute, when Rasmus Rissanen was sent off, Sven Senteler hit the crossbar in a power play from the right circle.

In the 25th minute, the Finns took the lead thanks to Patrik Puistol, who pushed past debutant Akira Schmid from the left and beat the New Jersey goalkeeper with a backhand bluff. At 33:20, he was among the scorers for the second time. During Tobias Geisser’s penalty, Valteri Puustinen charged him in the right circle with a numerical advantage, and Puistola hit the top corner of the goal precisely.

Nine seconds before the end of the second period, Tobias Winberg fouled Christoph Bertschy, but Mike Künzle did not convert the penalty shot.

The Finns gained a three-goal lead in the 49th minute. After a pass from Oliwer Kaski, Julius Mattila was attacked by Tino Kessler’s stick at the end, but his unsuccessful attempt still ended up behind Schmid. In 125 seconds after a mistake by Art Lappänen, Tanner Richard corrected the result.
