We were, and again, we weren’t in such a mess. He was the mayor when I was a diplomat. When I went to ODS, it was under the line, but it was not led. Of course I watched him, he was simply unwatchable, recalled Alexandr Vondra from ODS.

According to Vondra, Miroslav Macek had a lot of controversial views. I, too, often disagreed with him, Vondra added.

Macek played the role of a wolf in the parties, said Vondra. According to him, this is the position of a hunter who has enough build and is always ready to bite into the opponent and not let go. According to Vondra, Macek fulfilled it to the fullest for Vclav Klaus. He highlighted his ability to force many cards to be broken.

Miroslav Macek died in Sweden at the age of 79, according to the Albatros Media publishing house, which published his books. After the Velvet Revolution, he was a politician for the Obansk frum, later a co-founder of the ODS and its mayor. At the time of the breakup of Slovakia in 1992, he was the chairman of the federal government and headed the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

Among other things, he became famous for his harsh and often controversial words. For example, at the meeting, the dentist slapped the then Minister of Health, David Rath. Macek then drained the stream with a holy urn.
