The student of the Faculty of Philosophy in Prague, who on December 21 shot 14 people and wounded another in the building of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Warsaw, was already at the school tens of minutes before he started shooting. And apparently also at the time when police patrols were looking for him in the main building of the faculty on Jan Palach Square. According to MF DNES, the students told the police that they saw him about an hour before the shooting. This is in possible contradiction with the police version, according to which David K.’s phone was located in the vicinity of Pařížská Street a few minutes before the shooting.

According to MF DNES, the killer was already in the main building of the faculty shortly before 2:00 p.m., roughly an hour before the shooting broke out. At that time, students who were waiting on the fourth floor for a linguistics lecture by professor Alena Macurová from the Institute of Languages and Communication of the Deaf should have seen the killer in the corridor. According to the newspaper, some of the students told the detectives during interrogations.

It is a confirmation of previous information, which was previously provided by, for example, Lidovky. Citing a high-ranking source in the security community who is “familiar with the details of the case,” the server also highlighted other details of the investigation in mid-April, including that the gunman was said to have boosted himself with hard alcohol before committing the crime.

The police sent two three-man patrols to the main faculty building not long before the tragedy, looking for a student who might be armed. In the end, however, the police only searched the ground floor and the corridor on the first floor. They did not clear the building and later left. The evacuation then took place in another school building, in Celetná street, about 600 meters away.

According to earlier police statements, the killer’s phone was located in the vicinity of Pařížská Street. Specifically, the police intercepted the signal at 2:38 p.m., “near the building of synagogues and the Jewish museum,” as it says in the originally blacked-out document that the police provided to the editorial staff of MF DNES. It was a place just a short distance from the building where the mass murder took place. The shooting started at about 3:00 p.m. So it is possible that the shooter was at school the whole time, or didn’t have his phone with him.

The General Inspection of the Security Forces (GIBS) is currently in charge of investigating the circumstances of the December shooting at the Faculty of Arts of the UK. According to the Minister of the Interior, Vít Rakušan (STAN), the first conclusions could be available in May. The ANO movement, led by MP Jan Richter, whose daughter was seriously injured in the attack, demands the establishment of a parliamentary commission of inquiry. But according to the parties of the governing coalition, this does not make sense.
