The fastest Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S in the world? It has 1,350 horsepower and is quicker to 100 km/h than the plug-in hybrid version

--

One of the owners of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4-door decided to make one of the most powerful cars in the world.

In the Middle East, there are no limits to the imagination in terms of car modifications. One example is this Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4-door located in Qatar. The owner is known for his two Audi RS 7s in nardo gray that have appeared on the YouTube channel Auditography and have several million views.

Before we get to the modified beast from Qatar, let’s recall the technical data of the production model AMG GT 63 S. Under the hood of the four-door coupe is a four-liter twin-turbo turbocharged fork-eight cylinder tuned to 470 kW (639 hp) and 900 Nm of torque. It can do 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and the maximum speed is 315 km/h.

Yes, those are great numbers. However, Turbo Technic Hamburg has supplied this GT with a pair of upgraded turbos, with a new fuel pump from Spool Performance for a change. In conjunction with the new engine mapping, we get more than double the output, namely 1350 hp and 1250 Nm of torque.

The result of this brutal performance is a drastic improvement in the sprint from zero to 100, which now conquers this model in 2.6 seconds, which is 0.3 seconds better than the plug-in hybrid version of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE Performance.

There appear to be no modifications to the wheels, brakes and chassis setup. It is also unchanged in the car’s cabin, while the exterior has several aftermarket improvements. The most obvious change is the hood with carbon fiber exhausts and the black rear wing. The body color is strikingly similar to the “Audinese” gray Nardo, in fact it is a custom Meissen blue paint.

In terms of design, we have certainly seen much more interesting pieces, but 1350 horses from a four-liter V8 from AMG is a rarity that deserves to be shown to the world. Especially at a time when (not only) Mercedes is slowly but surely introducing downsizing in its powerful AMG models.
