When you buy an Audi R8, you don’t think about taking it off-road. That is, if you are not an off-road maniac.

When I first look at the Audi R8 modified in this way, I think that this is exactly what the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato presented by Audi could look like. I’m guessing I won’t be the only one to think of a super sports crossover from Italy when I look at this R8.

The name of the company that took care of rebuilding the German supersport is more than apt. Adrenalin Industries are Americans with a passion for dirt. In their portfolio you will find mainly trucks and off-road vehicles with various modifications.

Sports off-roads are popular recently. The pair of rivals, the Porsche 911 Dakar and the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato, collect the most responses. But there are also many “aftermarket” off-road conversions, and the Audi R8 Rally Car is one of them.

That this model would continue in the footsteps of the legendary Audi Quattro rally special? This is not expected of him, but the American company has done a great deal of work. The basis of the conversion is the 2014 model year with a 4.2-liter eight-cylinder FSI with an output of 316 kW (430 hp) with quattro all-wheel drive.

The rebuild started with body reinforcement and the installation of Bilstein sport shock absorbers. In the area of the engine (mainly under it), new protective covers were supplied, because despite the increase in ground clearance, the modified Audi R8 is still low by the standards of off-road specials. Other novelties are the exhaust and intake system.

In terms of footwear, the tuners opted for Braid Wheels coated Falcon Wildpeak A/T tires. The exterior was subsequently completed with a steel front bumper with Baja Designs lights and a roof rack.

You can see for yourself how the Audi R8 Rally Car fares in the world of unpaved surfaces thanks to a more than seven-minute video in which the modifiers honestly test the car’s capabilities.

At the same time, it looks like the Audi R8 Rally Car is for sale. On the company’s website, you can see the car card with price information on request. So we can only guess how much Adrenalin Industries appreciates their great work with this rebuild. How much would you be able to pay for an off-road Audi R8?
