The Toyota Camry, one of the most popular traditional sedans in the world, will get a facelift on November 14. Together with the announcement of the date, the car manufacturer also published the first picture, which reveals one important news.
The image shows the rear end decorated with an unusual combination of AWD and HEV abbreviations today. Currently, the Toyota Camry is available either with a hybrid four-cylinder engine, which is the only option on the Czech market, or with all-wheel drive, which is combined with a V6 engine overseas.
Looking at the current range of hybrid engines of the Japanese car manufacturer, there is the possibility that the 3.5-liter V6 engine will be replaced by the Hybrid Max powertrain, i.e. a 2.4-liter turbocharged hybrid four-cylinder engine with an output of around 340 horsepower, which also offers an all-wheel drive system. The more luxurious Toyota Crown model also uses the same power unit.

But let’s go back to the design, which the automaker partially revealed a few weeks ago, when it published a dark image of the updated Toyota Camry with daytime running lights, the signature of which copies the style of the current generation Toyota Prius.
The slogan “Toyota Camry rises to new heights without compromise” released alongside a new image of the rear end overseas, according to Carscoops, has fueled speculation that the facelifted Camry could bet on the popular crossover style. However, we will have to wait for the answer until the official unveiling of the car, which will take place on November 14.
