A really big inconvenience happened in the Czech business network. Unfortunately, it cannot be said that this is an exception. Unfortunately, low-quality and dangerous food is quite standard in Czech retail chains.
It’s here again
Although the State Agricultural and Food Inspectorate tries to uncover them and is generally successful, it actually only comes across a fraction of the serious facts. Others go unnoticed, which usually means that people eat such foods and then have to deal with the consequences.
This time, the matter was so serious that even the retail chain itself reacted in advance, which does not happen very often. Billa has announced that it is recalling its popular Clever private label horseradish spread with immediate effect.
In reality, however, the manufacturer is Olma. “The lid may swell. We cooperate with SZPI during the recall and subsequent steps,” Billa warned on her website. At the same time, he does not specify why the swelling of the lid occurred, but it is probably the result of certain undesirable processes inside the product, which is not very encouraging.
When will it end?
Specifically, it is a product that is sold in a 150 gram package and has a best before date of November 26, 2023. The Billa chain is urging customers who have purchased Clever horseradish spread butter not to consume it under any circumstances. They can simply throw it away, but if you bought it, for example in a larger quantity, it is worth returning it to any store, where you will get your money back even without presenting a receipt.
In any case, it is necessary to state that manufacturers and traders pay close attention to similar cases. No one wants to buy similarly defective products in the long term. All kinds of recalls have been happening all too often lately.
