The design is a subjective thing, but basically I didn’t find anyone who didn’t like the MT, so I wrote down the retro lovers who will only like enduros from the nineties. But time is moving forward, so in front of them stands a motorcycle with an impressive modern mask, lights on the lid and LED headlights.

The rear light is connected to the 800MT and fits the bike perfectly. The large hood provides good protection for the rider against bad weather and wind. There is also an adjustable Plexiglas window that you can easily move with the remote control, even while driving. An option for long-term travelers will be added to the range of services.

The dashboard consists of a color TFT display with high contrast, which was excellent to see even in the harsh Philippine sun. On it you can see everything you need, including the speed setting. That’s exactly the kind of thing that’s quite useful for a two-wheeler. The engine comes from the SR model, but for the MT, it’s a lot, and that’s a lot. While the engine had maximum power, and the main twist at high revs, in the enduro the engine is tuned to the middle revs, where you need to use it the most. It is of course full of compassion and is well developed. Unlike the two CFMOTO engines, the damper is controlled by wire instead of ride-by-wire technology.

Palawan

The island is located in the Philippines and is characterized by high temperatures, humidity, but most of all, beautiful beaches with beautiful parks and hundreds of kilometers of trails that you can ride on motorbikes or scooters. The journey from us there takes about 30 hours and you can expect at least two steps to get there, but it is still definitely worth it. It is also convenient that no one will ask you for your ID or license plate number. But neither do others on the roads, so caution is in order here.

The MT is not a motorcycle that would fall into the SUV category, but according to the manufacturer and the first videos, don’t be afraid of that terno. This also shows some details that you can see at first glance. CFMOTO has a front wheel with a diameter of 21 and a rear 18. Both wheels are steel, but allow the installation of tubeless tires. In addition, you also put on new rubbers for the turn. Next, there are large toothed footpegs, from which you can easily remove the shock-absorbing rubber and you have perfect stability when riding on a turn.

An interesting detail is also the mirror compartment, which in the back just slots into the middle of the child and won’t come off if it falls. Suspension is provided by a KYB (Kayaba) upside-down fork at the front, and a central shock absorber with the same features at the rear. The chassis is self-adjustable. Brakes are handled by J.Juan, which belongs to Brembo. There is one front and one rear brake, the front brake is mounted on the steering wheel, but with an axial pump.

The range of services will also include drop frames that were tested on my motorcycle, and I confess that I was able to test them as well. Of course, there will also be an offer of a suitcase or a saddle. With regard to the number of pre-orders and the production capacity of MT, we can expect that other manufacturers will come with a series of supplements.

Dust and joy

In the morning I take the motorbike and set up my image. It’s actually not extra necessary, just two in the child, a little bit of pique and that’s it. It fits in my hand, even though I’m 186 cm. In addition, my tester has an external saddle, thanks to which I have absolute comfort. Everything fits in my hand, it’s where I need to be, my knees don’t hit the hoods, it’s just shit. The rubber footpegs don’t feel right at home, considering riding in motocross boots. There is one detail that will change you. You can have the MT in a variant with a low or high fender. The prices of the two models are not different, but a low fender is more valuable on roads, while a high one is better for driving in the mud. Also, of course, I’m not sure how to know which version of the lb motorcycle.

In Palawan, the longest straight is about 200 meters, and in the middle there are waves and washes of the road. When you hit the roads, concrete and dirt are absolutely inhospitable. Just like that had rj. Let’s take a short road crossing to the enduro park. Here’s one of the things that has excited me so much. In addition to the standard controls, which by the way are very good and intuitive, the children have one button to go. When you hold it down, the motorcycle turns off traction control and ABS on the rear wheel.

You don’t have to go to the deep menu on the display, you don’t have to confirm anything, just hold down the button for a few seconds and the word offroad will appear on the display. You can do it at any speed, which is great, especially when you’re driving on the road and it suddenly stops. Offroad mode can be turned off just as easily, with one press of a button. If you just turn off the engine, offroad md will remain activated, if you turn off the knee, you have to turn it on again. Even so, it’s still a system not on any current motorcycle.

From the first kilometers it is clear that CFMOTO has succeeded in tuning the engine. I have severe central swelling and until it heals, I have a big bruise. You can control the clutch with one finger and the transmission is fast and precise. In addition, the motorcycle has an anti-doping clutch, although it is not necessary for a small two-wheeler. I basically didn’t use one, and the other one was also completely wasted in Palawan. The advantage of a two-wheeler is that even with a small volume, the motorcycle is able to travel long distances and you don’t even have to drive on the highway. Classic district 90 engine at 5,000 rpm. Not a single day of vibration in the motorcycle.

However, we spent a fifth of the time in the terrain, where the main role is played by the chassis and weight. CFMOTO succeeded in both. According to the manufacturer, the motorcycle weighs 175 dry kilograms and has a 17.5-liter tank (for the sake of interest: the consumption during non-selective driving was 4.8 liters). But it depends on how the weight was distributed, and here everything is actually correct. The enduro is covered in foam, you won’t get tired of it, and it’s a reliable witness for the rest of the ride.

In the saddle, you feel a bit like a Dakar special. When driving sharply, they start to limit the lifts of the chassis. These are 200 mm and MT would certainly deserve you. I managed to hit the stop several times, and even when I stiffened the chassis, it was not a full sports ride. However, it is one breath to add that this is not a bike for suspension and in 99 percent of off-road riding, the chassis will suit you.

In the dust and sand, the tuning of the engine and the response to the throttle were refined. You have just as much power on the rear wheel as on the right handle and I didn’t get stuck, even when the tires we had to wear aren’t exactly sand grabbers. It is also a good thing that the riders can reach the ground without any problems in most cases and can help themselves by being pushed off the ground in an emergency.

Drift and sprint

From the offroad park, we set off along the otolinch around the island, and that is something else. At high speed, the bike is stable, and even if you hit a log or tree, it doesn’t turn into a dangerous situation. The only problem is the ever-present dust, which has bloody insight, had children on the road and dogs running around. But we didn’t have a single incident during the whole day

Even at high speeds, the engine must have enough breath to want to go that far. In these arrests, you can use the gas to tear the rear wheel off into a drift. All in all, the gas is very long and the engine is uncomfortable to rev. You definitely won’t find a sharp performance here, like on motocross, or a sharp enduro. Even the brakes are strong enough, only on the front I would appreciate a gentle brake.

If you want a more drastic change from it, it’s worth a pittance on your stick, and that’s close to the impact of ABS. Maybe a steering pump or another sms plate would help here. On the other hand, even in great heat and long descents in the backcountry, we were unable to use the brakes or reduce their effectiveness. You can’t do that much with a brake motor, considering the volume, but mainly for a two-shaft motor.

For anyone

The 450MT has a power of up to 35 kW, so you can use it from the age of eighteen. Specifically, it is 31 kW at 8500 rpm. But the torque of 42 Nm at 6500 rpm is impressive. It’s definitely a great choice for aspiring adventurers. You don’t have to worry about that, but you don’t have to worry about long hair either. The passenger will also be very comfortable in the sun, and when you put three aluminum suitcases on the MT, it will look really good. But the Urit is not just a motorcycle for prisoners.

It can bring joy even to single riders who don’t want to get involved with this touring enduro, or are not interested in speed records. It’s a machine that can provide something for almost anyone, no matter how experienced a rider you are and what you enjoy most on a motorcycle. Well, the most important thing. The MT costs 155,990 crowns in both basic versions, which is a very interesting offer for a motorcycle with two wheels, traction control, excellent workmanship and quality components.
