The spokesperson of the Fire Department of the Railway Administration (SŽ) announced on Thursday afternoon that engine unit 814 Regionova derailed on line 210 between Prague and Dobříš near the village of Klínec around 1:15 p.m. The operation is stopped until at least tomorrow, according to the ČD Emergency website. The track is expected to start around midnight, the track will be repaired tomorrow.

Firefighters from the Railway Administration intervene on the scene, traffic on the track is stopped, as are trains of the S88 line in the Měchenice – Dobříš section. The date for the restoration of traffic is currently set for tomorrow morning.

However, according to Zdopravy.cz sources, the derailed train left without a driver. The unsecured train set off already at the Čisovice station, according to the photos it was a Regionova unit.

According to the spokesman of the Railway Inspectorate, Martin Drápal, the damage was estimated at 9.1 million crowns (8.5 million train, 600 thousand track). “Based on the investigation so far, the Railway Inspection is working with the variant of human factor failure or technical defect on the set,” added Claw.

SŽ fire department spokesman Martin Kavka said that an accident train was on its way to the scene. At the same time, two Railway Inspectorate inspectors also arrived at the derailment site. The train driver was placed out of service.
