Receipt and video from McDonald’s in Poland. “Why? Why? Why?”

--

When it comes to companies that are known around the world, the McDonald’s franchise is certainly one of the first that comes to mind. The permanent offer in this chain of restaurants even enables the economic comparison of countries with each other through the so-called Big Mac index.

But the offer is not so universal. YouTuber Starej Fotr compared the offer at the Polish McDonald’s and the Czech McDonald’s relatively recently when he went shopping in Poland. He mentioned that the Polish permanent offer is different from the Czech one. “They have it bigger, wider, they have more interesting things there,” he assessed.

What, for example, is not at all in the Czech Republic is the Polish WieśMac, i.e. the village burger. In addition, he also found the Jalapeňo Burger and Chikker, two other items on the Polish menu, which do not appear in the Czech menu.

However, Chikker did not appear to the YouTuber. “What’s the deal?” he laughed as he cut the burger open. “In that photo, it looks like a steak. It’s just like a fish finger, but made of chicken,” he commented on the narrow profile of the meat in the product. However, he liked the Chikker, also because of the different sauce used in Poland.

Then it was WieśMac’s turn, who compared Old Fotr to McRoyal. Compared to that, it differs not only in the sauce, but also in the fact that it does not contain cucumbers, but tomatoes. He pointed out that this is a Polish specialty that is not found elsewhere in Europe. However, the sauce did not suit him.

“What I’m interested in is why the Poles, as well as the Germans, have much more assortment in their permanent menu than we do. There are quite a lot of burgers here, both beef and chicken,” he mentioned. And of the things that do not occur in the Czech Republic, he got a taste of, for example, the Jalapeňo Burger. Even before the trip to the German restaurant of the same franchise, he noted that the Internet is full of comments about how McDonald’s is a “s**t”. But basically everywhere is still crammed into it.

He then found a McRibs burger in a German McDonald’s, for which he even sold it in the Czech Republic petitions were created or fish McFilet, which is also no longer available in the Czech Republic.

The YouTuber liked McRibs and thinks that there would be interest in it in the Czech Republic. “We’re going to make a petition that we want McRibs too. We also want to be like in the West, in Western Europe, and have McRibs in the meatloaf,” he joked. He also ordered a long chicken sandwich in Germany, but there was no longer a “share” and there was actually a whole steak inside.

“I think that McRibs should be sold in our country as well, that it is such a universal product, a universal sandwich that could easily be in the Czech Republic as well. Why don’t we Czechs have it, why are we cheated again? We are in the middle of Europe, we don’t have McRibs,” he recalled during the final assessment.

But the difference is also in the price, as they noticed on the group about shopping in Poland. A Czech visitor to Poland mistook WieśMac for BigMac, as he was then reminded in the comments. However, according to the exchange rate, one costs around 65 CZK. At the same time, McRoyal, which is very similar in composition, costs CZK 109 according to the Czech menu.
