OFfounder and head of the largest Czech law firm ventures into the world of investments and also into the West. Jaroslav Havel describes the establishment of the One Family Office platform, which is to be used to manage the assets and investments of primarily the wealthiest Czechs and Slovaks. “And we ourselves at Havel & Partners are its biggest customers,” says Jaroslav Havel in a large interview for HN.
How does everything work in terms of law, investments or an advisory board made up of Czech business heavyweights? And to whom did this move give rise to new competition? Among other things, Havel announces the opening of a representative office in Frankfurt am Main in May.
Why did you start the One Family Office platform?
More than ten years ago, we gradually started building our own family office. We had relatively high incomes and earnings from advocacy and we gradually found out on our own what we want, what we don’t want, what works and what doesn’t. Thanks to this, when we formed our family office platform, we already had experience with investments in the volume of more than three billion and asset management in the volume of approximately two billion. At the same time, we have been moving professionally in the world of family offices for a long time. Most of the larger ones are our clients or we know the managers personally and invest with them.
