Kaktus replicated T-Mobile’s roaming data packages. However, “Internet access tickets” only have 1 GB and are valid for a week – MobilMania.cz

--

Following the example of its parent T-Mobile, the branded virtual Kaktus is also changing its offer of roaming data outside EU countries. According to the new price list, roaming data will no longer be charged unfavorably (and most importantly unpredictably) by the “run-on-rate” system, i.e. 1 MB in practically any volume, but in predetermined fixed data packages.

Unlike T-Mobile, there are only three of these at Kaktus and each one belongs to one zone (A, B, C), into which the countries of the world are divided. Prices range from two hundred to seven hundred crowns per 1 GB depending on the zone. The countries of the EU (plus the European Economic Area and some other countries) are part of the regulated “RLAH” roaming (Roam Like at Home), so you have the same conditions for data transfer in them as in the domestic tariff in the Czech territory and there is no need to activate any special package.

Kaktus roaming data packages always have a volume of 1 GB and are valid for one week

With Kaktus, there is always a single volume, namely 1 GB valid for one week. (T-Mobile also has two gig packages per month, where the discount for a 2 GB package compared to two one gig packages is up to 10%). The packages called “Internet for flights” can be activated repeatedly, after they are used up (or expire), the data transfer abroad will stop and the customer will not face any unexpected astronomical roaming bills. Such a solution is certainly “safer” than possible roaming caps that the customer may forget to set.

Kaktus rates for roaming voice services and SMS

To be sure, we remind you that the division into zones A, B, C only concerns data traffic and is related to the data packages “Internet for flights”. For voice services and SMS, the world is divided into other zones marked with numbers (1, 2, 3) and rates are charged here for outgoing as well as incoming calls, and of course also for outgoing SMS and MMS. Prices in zone 1 apply to the EU and are determined by Kaktus domestic rates (again “RLAH”), which are 2.50 CZK per minute of outgoing calls, 1.50 CZK per sent SMS and 4 CZK per sent MMS. Incoming messages and calls are free in zone 1.
