A dream come true for Lancia fans: the Kimera EVO37 in the iconic Martini Racing colors

The Restomod Kimera EVO37 is the dream of all lovers of historic racing Lancias. And now you can have it in perhaps the most famous colors associated with the Italian brand.

The iconic Lancia 037 is one of the most significant extreme competition specials ever to compete in the special stages of the legendary Group B rally. The spiritual successor to the admired Stratos drove to the title of World Brand Champion in car competitions in 1983, and stars such as Walter Röhrl took turns behind the wheel , Markku Alén or Henri Toivonen. One of the most striking elements of this competitor was the iconic Martini Racing livery.

This has unsurprisingly also appeared on a modern successor called the Kimera EVO37 and is highly exclusive. The small Italian factory Kimera Automobili revealed a modern-day reincarnation already in 2021, a year later it showed the first customer piece and now we are showing our favorite again. A unique piece celebrating the achievements of Martini Racing, which is the only car completed in this way in a more purist rear-wheel drive specification.

However, it is not revealed by the manufacturer, because it appeared in the current offer of the English exclusive car dealer Appreciating Classics for approximately 34 million crowns. He states that this Kimera EVO37 “Martini 7” is said to be the only such piece made. And it’s probably the prettiest of them all, because with the additional high beams and white wheels, it looks like it’s about to hit the special stage.

However, he hasn’t really had much of a ride yet because he was the star of the garage. The sales offer states that it has driven only less than 200 miles, or approximately 320 kilometers, since leaving the factory. It’s a real shame, because the Kimera is a dream come true for any Lancia racing fan, even if it doesn’t really have anything to do with the brand other than inspiration.

As standard, the Kimera EVO37 has a turbocharger and supercharged 2.1-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine from chief designer Claudio Lombardi with more than 500 horsepower and 550 newton meters. It transmits all power to the rear wheels through a manual gearbox.

In February of this year, the manufacturer also introduced an improved variant of the EVO38 with higher performance and all-wheel drive. The EVO37 was produced in 37 units, and the more modern EVO38 will be produced in 38 units.
