Tyler Hoover’s videos showcase his phenomenal car collection. The diversely distributed collection stands out for its focus on special pieces of various ages or concepts, from full-bodied American wreckers to magnificent vintage cars to fast GTs, supercars and luxury pick-ups and SUVs. The diverse line-up entertains the crowds, the appreciative audience grows even thanks to the unexpected purchases of other cars, which at first raise doubts.
The eccentric Hoover shelters a million-dollar garage under one roof. The so-called Hoovies Garage is occupied, for example, by two Mustangs, four Ferraris, two Porsches, a Maserati Levante, an Aston Martin Vanquish, a Lamborghini Countach, a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, a BMW M5 E39 and Jean-Claude Van Damme’s Bentley Azure. Lamborghini Murcielago, Ferrari 456, Chevrolet Suburban Z71 or GMC Syclone are also parked in the service intended for repairs and maintenance of the dream collection.
The current economic situation affects similar stocks of treasures, and Hoover was one of the few to specify the decline in the value of some collectibles. The harsh reality would be a legitimate reason for sadness, but the always positive man does not make a fuss about losing hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Hoovies Garage’s two biggest losers are the Lamborghini Countach and the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. A two-seater SLS cost approximately 200 thousand USD (5,000,000 CZK) a few months ago, now the price of a used one is approximately 40 thousand USD lower, which is a drop of approximately one million crowns. The iconic Countach could command two or three times the price of the SLS, the current crisis has sent the price tags so low that Hoover does not have the courage to put a figure for the current potential sale.
Tyler considers himself a car enthusiast, not a dealer, so he values cars and has no plans to sell them. The current situation does not bother him in any way, he will start to worry about the state of the market when he needs to monetize one of the unique items. All the specimens were chosen by the connoisseur of his own free will, and in no case was it an investment.
The rate of decline in the value of one man’s car fortune actually reaches far more staggering amounts, since Hoover also stores unique cars in a hangar near the multi-story mansion. For example, the sheet metal walls keep a replica of the Jeep Wrangler from Jurassic Park dry, next to it is a Mazda MX-5 of the first generation, a BMW Z8, a Plymouth Superbird, a Mercedes-Benz S, a police Ford and several motorbikes. The last car warehouse is in another barn, almost the entire space is occupied by other Porsches, Maybachs, Jeeps, Mercedes-Benz and Buicks.
Unlike the untouchables, the cheaper collection members will be for sale. For less exceptional types, the drop in price is not as significant as for exhibition models affected by price instability. In today’s turbulent times, millions of crowns can be saved and lost in just a few days.
