The main ones are the trading company Batist Medical and the manufacturing company Batist Medical Productions, which is located in Kostelec, Nchodsko. Thus, church companies would like to go through bankruptcy and reorganization, as a result of the company’s exit.

Batist is a supplier and manufacturer of gloves, operating sets, medical and hygiene products for wound healing, bandages and other hygiene aids for the healthcare industry. st production should not be made in Asia. I have branches in Slovakia, Poland, Germany, Portugal and Poland. In 2021, Batist won the hundredth contract for 4.2 million antigen tests per day for the test coin.

According to Batist Medical Holding, the reorganization would ensure the preservation of employment and, consequently, the satisfaction of their debts.

In the insolvency proposal, Batist Medical Holding stated the reason for its collapse was the rapid growth of the church company’s inventory and production capacity related to the coronavirus epidemic in 2020. At that time, according to the company, the demand for protective equipment increased dramatically and the prices of materials and goods skyrocketed.

The situation was used to the advantage of their business policy, especially the Asian supplier, who conditioned the order on delivery invoicing, the company said. Although Batist managed to get a pension to finance new business and to invest in the production of walls, the development of the epidemic meant a decisive turn against Batist’s expectations.

In the second half of 2020, the market began to gradually become saturated with covid products, which led to a sharp drop in product prices, which continued in 2021 and 2022, the company said. Batist therefore had to proceed with sales actions and create significant repair items for the products, which negatively affected the company’s results. According to the insolvency proposal, the company ran into extraordinary problems, which did not resolve any of the disputes with its creditors.

About fraud

In its release, the company cited the fact that the group was a victim of fraud in two Asian business cases as the reason for the problems. They prepared her for 150 million crowns in complex and subsequent codes. The cases are already on their way in the Czech Republic, in Vietnam, and the group has filed a criminal complaint and is now in the hands of the police of the interested states, the company said.

The group was negatively affected by the drop in margins as a result of the sharp increase in energy, transport and input prices of materials. For a long time, the company did not reflect them and could not reflect them in the prices of its products. This factor was the decrease in the volume of trade in protective medical supplies after the end of the covid pandemic, the company said in a release.

In the course of the reorganization, the group, in particular, secured the operation of the production line in the red Kostelec. The group’s production and commercial activities, as well as employment in the companies, will not be affected by insolvency. Production activities continue according to valid contracts and orders. The factory is in full operation and full of supplies to hospitals and other medical facilities, the company claims. The consulting company PricewaterhouseCoopers and the first office White & Case will work on the preparation of the reorganization.

Since 2020, the group has increased its debt several times in response to increased demand during the epidemic. Batist Medical Holding currently owes 34 million crowns to Raiffeisenbank and, according to the year, debts to Citibank Europe amount to over 125 million crowns and debts to Komern bank amount to over 45 million crowns. As of January 6, Batist Medical Holding had a total of 209 million crowns.
