The new Dacia Duster for 2024 is already being tested! The technical revolution is taking shape in the north

--

These days, testing of the new generation Dacia Duster has begun in Northern European countries. It will arrive next year with completely new technology.

Although we will have to wait a few more months for the third Dacia Duster successor, automotive websites and social networks are slowly filling up with interesting things. Most recently, the novelty is undergoing intensive testing in the final bodywork in Swedish Lapland. The first prototypes are already traveling the Nordic roads!

Czech magazine RNews.cz came up with the information, mapping Renault Group behind the scenes in detail. So it’s only a matter of time before the new Duster appears on spy shots, where camouflage foils will try to cover the prototypes.

We have known for some time that extensive changes await the new Duster on the technical side. While the current version rides on a modified architecture of the first generation, the new model will receive the CMF-B LS platform, which has already been used by, for example, Sandero, Logan or the seven-seater station wagon Jogger. The engine palette is already starting to be sketched out, which is connected to one not-so-good news. Duster will definitely not offer a turbodiesel in the new generation. Dacia is completely saying goodbye to diesel engines.

The choice of engines should be varied. The base will be a turbocharged three-cylinder 1.2 TCe gasoline engine supplemented with 48V mild-hybrid technology. This aggregate is to be available in two performance variants and also in an LPG version. In addition, it will offer a choice between manual and automatic transmission.

The hybrid Duster E-Tech will become a hot new product. However, he remains largely unknown. We don’t even know if the older version with a sixteen-cylinder engine will be the basis, or if a new hybrid with a 1.8 SCe engine will be used. The larger Bigster, which will be based on the Duster III, should have the same composition of power units, but will offer up to seven-seater interior.

According to the latest information, even the latest version should get all-wheel drive. However, it is not yet clear which motorization the four-wheeler will offer. In addition, it is increasingly speculated that the 4×4 version will be combined exclusively with an automatic transmission. Whether these speculations are true, we will only find out with the passage of time.
