At only 22 years old, the life of the promising actor and singer Patrik Stoklasa, whom we can remember from SuperStar, from the comedy Roman for Women and from many theater performances, ended. He would have celebrated his 42nd birthday on November 2nd. Let’s remember the smiling blond.
He had talent from a young age
Patrik Stoklasa came from the small town of Holýšov, which is located only a few kilometers from the German border. After elementary school, he entered the high school of management and electrical engineering in Stoda, but since he had a strong singing and acting talent from childhood, he decided to study popular singing at the Prague Conservatory, where he was taught by the well-known teacher Lída Nopová.

He was very versatile. He could play the flute, clarinet, drums and violin. He demonstrated his musical talent in 2001 at Zlíntalent, where he made it to the finals and was awarded the Journalists’ Club award. Three years later, he decided to enter the singing competition Czech Republic is looking for a SuperStar, in which he reached the semi-finals.
He was engaged in acting
Although he voluntarily ended his participation in SuperStar, he did not get lost in the world of Czech show business. The competition strengthened his self-confidence and opened completely new horizons for him. He put his acting and singing talents to good use in many performances at the Broadway and Semafor theaters. And just one tour performance became fatal for him.
Unfortunate journey on the highway
On Tuesday, October 19, 2004, Patrik Stoklasa sang a concert in Olomouc and was returning to Prague with his colleagues, among whom was Karel Černoch. However, the driver lost control and crashed into the van. Patrik Stoklasa was taken in a serious condition to the Brno University Hospital at St. Anne. Doctors gave him only a 10 percent chance of survival. And if that happened, he was at risk of serious physical and mental disability. The terrifying news shocked the entire public at the time.
Forever a member of Semaphore
Also for that reason, his family, after careful consideration, on October 23, 2004, decided on his dignified departure and had him disconnected from the devices. The funeral was attended by a hundred famous faces who worked with the young singer. “His name will belong to the history of Semafor once and for all. He was not among us long, and fate treated him very unkindly.” declared the principal of the Semafor Theater Jiří Suchý at the last farewell to Patrik.
