Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves will come to the Rock for People festival next year. He will play a concert with the band Dogstar. It will thus be included in the program alongside Bring Me The Horizon, Avril Lavigne or Pendulum. The festival in the first part of June will fill the multifunctional Park 360 in Hradec Králové.

„Vystoupení kapely Dogstar s Keanu Reevesem za baskytarou je pro mě splněný sen. Kapelu jsme se snažili pozvat už v devadesátých letech, ale tehdy se nám to nepodařilo a pak na dlouhých téměř 20 let nebyla aktivní,“ komentuje ředitel festivalu Michal Thomes.
Skupina Dogstar vznikla v roce 1991 jako malý projekt přátel. Tvoří ji kytarista a zpěvák Bret Domrose, bubeník Robert Mailhouse a baskytarista Keanu Reeves. Hráli jen do roku 2002, ale po dvaceti letech se rozhodli tvůrčí činnost obnovit.
Zveřejnili proto i nové album Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees, s nímž posléze objížděli Spojené státy. Nyní se přesunuli i do Evropy.
Last year
The British band Muse performed at the former airport in Hradec Králové as the main star of last year’s Rock for People program.
According to the organizers, the budget of the festival in 2023 reached almost 200 million. Last year it was about half that.
The festival has been held at the former military airport since 2007, where it was moved from Český Brod due to capacity reasons. 37,000 people visited this year’s Rock for People.
