Singer Elis Mraz (29) received sad news from oncology. It has a higher probability of developing cancer, due to the mutation of a special gene. So he will have to go for regular check-ups. The probability that she will develop cancer is about 88 percent. She will have her first mammogram in February.
As soon as the singer Elis Mraz returned from her vacation in Oman, she learned the bad news. She tested positive for BRCA2, which means that she has an increased mutation of this gene, which means she has a higher risk of developing cancer. The singer was not happy with oncology, and she will also have to regularly go for check-ups every six months. The chance that she will develop cancer can be as high as 88 percent.
“I don’t want there to be any misunderstanding, I don’t have cancer. Or rather – I have my first mammogram in February,” the singer put to rest all speculations that she would have to undergo chemotherapy. He has an increased risk of developing cancer, but the disease itself has not broken out.
“The probability that I will be found is up to 88 percent from my thirties. I should have started checking myself earlier, you still have the feeling that you are immortal and don’t take it seriously. But when you suddenly hear from oncology that you can really die, when you underestimate it, that people die even with an early diagnosis and that in five years your breasts will be surgically removed and in fifteen years your ovaries will be removed because the risk needs to be minimized, the approach is immediately different.” Alice admitted. She never had to learn about what was threatening her.
“If it wasn’t for the family history, I wouldn’t have known about BRCA myself. That’s also why I believe it’s important to spread awareness about it, and I feel it a bit like my responsibility.” Elis Mraz is clear.
For example, Radana Labajová from the group Holki faces the same problems. The singer underwent removal of her ovaries, fallopian tubes and breast. For similar reasons, Angelina Jolie underwent the removal of the mammary glands. Tumor diseases do not escape even young women, Anička Slováčková returned for the second time.
