The Danish Royal Palace has announced to the public that their Queen has tested positive for covid-19. This is the second time this year. She was first infected in February. At the same time, she was one of the first of the monarchies to get vaccinated against the disease.
The unfortunate news came just days after she attended Monday’s final farewell to Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II. “Her Majesty the Queen tested positive for covid-19 last night and is now staying at Fredensborg Castle. The Queen’s activities this week are hereby cancelled.” said the statement of the Danish court. He did not provide further details about her health condition.
In addition, a meeting is planned for this Friday at Christiansborg Castle for the government and Danish members of the European Parliament, which the Queen will understandably not attend. She will be represented by her son, Crown Prince Frederik and his wife, Princess Maria.
Monday’s funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. attended by 2,000 high-ranking guests. The British royal family is now most certainly worried that someone, God forbid themselves, has been infected.
