A new paddling pool with a number of entertainment features awaits visitors to the swimming pool. Children will enjoy water buckets, a cannon with a target, a splashing dolphin or a snake. The two wading pool pools are connected by a sloping surface on which the smallest children can comfortably slide. A wide slide with two tracks awaits visitors by the large pool.

This year, there is a significant increase in the costs of operating the swimming pool. This is partially reflected in the entrance fee. “We had to increase the entrance fee, which is caused by the general increase in the prices of energy, materials and services. Nevertheless, we tried to keep the prices at an acceptable level, and we believe that visitors will find their way to the swimming pool.” stated Tomáš Morys, manager of the municipal trading company TEHOS, which operates the swimming pool.

The all-day entrance fee will increase by 20 kroner, the afternoon by 10 kroner. This year’s price list also includes discounted admission for families, children and seniors. The possibility to use the sports equipment in the area, such as ping pong, volleyball, trampoline, skittles or streetball, remains free.

Last year, almost 35,000 visitors used the municipal swimming pool. Historically, this is the highest number of visitors to the area. “We are very pleased that people liked the swimming pool. We try not only to maintain the area, but to gradually modernize it and offer quality services to its visitors. The operation of the facility was never profitable. Since it is an attractive and popular service of the city, we are ready to continue to subsidize it. If we do not count the realized investments, the operation of the swimming pool itself costs us almost 4 million crowns per year. Although last year was a record year in terms of attendance, income from entrance fees was one million crowns. Due to the economic development, we expect that this year the operation will be even more financially demanding, which is why we had to proceed with an increase in the entrance fee, which will at least help to improve the financial balance of the facility.” said the mayor of Otrokovice Hana Večerková.
