If you had the feeling that the weather in October, but also now at the beginning of November, was unexpectedly friendly and pleasant, now you will finally see the opposite. A really inhospitable autumn will come with everything, when it will be best to stay at home under the blanket, because you really won’t want to go out.
It’s going to be hard on us
Unfortunately, it will also be accompanied by very negative phenomena, which can be even dangerous. That is also why the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute has issued a warning that is valid from today until November 4. This applies both to heavy rain and the so-called flood alert.
As for the heavy rain, it will mainly concern the Hradec Králové, Pardubický, Moravian-Silesian and Olomouc regions, but we will enjoy it in some form practically throughout the entire territory of the Czech Republic. Totals exceeding 50 millimeters are expected in 24 hours, which is really heavy.
What you must not do
Of course, warnings against reduced visibility on roads and above all aquaplaning also apply. Therefore, in this rain, you must reduce the speed of the vehicle and drive really with maximum caution. In no case do not enter or drive into flowing water or flooded areas that are likely to appear, as it is expected that the water will drain quickly from the landscape through roadways.
