Today’s matches

Extraliga continues with the complete program of the 17th round, in which we will see a number of attractive and interesting duels.

For example, the Moravian-Silesian derby between Vítkovice and Třinec awaits us. However, both teams are in different positions… Vítkovice won only twice in the last five matches, Třinec, on the other hand, scored points in all duels, even though they twice had to bow to their opponents in extra time. However, the home team is a slight favorite in this duel.

The biggest favorite of today’s program is Kometa, which hosts the last Mlada Boleslav. Prague’s Sparta on Kladna ice and Mountfield, which hosts České Budějovice, also have very decent chances. Then Pardubice, they will present themselves in Olomouc. Our model favors all the mentioned units with chances of over 60%

A balanced duel can be expected in Pilsen, which will welcome Karlovy Vary. And Liberec also has a chance under 60% on home ice, which will welcome the surprise of the season from Litvínov.

Bookmakers see a duel between Liberec and Litvínov as 50 to 50. But our model leans on the side of the home team, and it is precisely on their side that the exchange rate advantage arises.

HC Vítkovice Ridera (1.98) ?

Will Vítkovice kick off against their rival, and in front of the home crowd? Our model shows the advantage on their side, but they will have an extremely difficult job against the Steelers.

HC Olomouc (3.26) ?

The same applies to Olomouc, which hosts the leader of the table from Pardubice. The home team is not the favorite in the match, however, the offered rate is significantly above the expectations of our model and the advantage is therefore already several times in the season on Olomouc’s side.

The main role in the predictions of individual matches is played by the current roster of the team, which takes into account injuries or match penalties. The home environment is also a factor, with home teams winning more than 57% of their games over the last three seasons.

The odds of individual teams in a match are determined based on the results of 50,000 simulations. And the odds, which you can find in the last column, are based on the percentage chance of the given team winning. Last season, our model correctly identified the match winner 62% of the time.
