They can reach the first, i.e. the lowest level of flood activity. This follows from the current warning of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ).
Overall, in mountainous areas in the north-east of the republic, more than 50 millimeters of water can fall in 24 hours. “Precipitation will later change to snow in the highest parts of the named mountain ranges and gradually stop,” they said meteorologists. According to them, heavy rainfall may slightly raise river levels.
