Prague – The police arrested a man who, according to them, punched a passing woman in the face for no apparent reason in Prague. Criminal investigators are investigating two cases, but they believe that he attacked more people in this way. Any other victims are asked to contact the police. Their testimony would be important for further investigation of the case. Its spokesman Jan Rybanský informed about this on the website of the Prague police.
“The 31-year-old man is a drug user and in both cases he cited facts that do not make sense as the reason for his actions,” the spokesman said.
The police are currently investigating two cases of disorderly conduct. The first woman was attacked by an attacker on Karlov náměstí on September 22 and, according to the spokesperson, caused swelling and a bruise under her left eye. The second case happened in Belgická Street on October 6, when the woman was looking at her phone. “He caused a 15-millimeter bleeding wound to a 28-year-old woman. In both cases, he fled the scene,” he added.
Criminals have already arrested the man, but they believe that some of the victims did not report the violent behavior. Now officers are asking to come to any police station or contact 158.
