One of the largest brownfields in Pilsen will be transformed into a modern structure, the city will conclude a memorandum of cooperation with investors on the revitalization of Kasrna Slovany

The first significant step towards the development of the tens of hectares of the area is the memorandum, which was signed with private investors on November 2 and was approved by the representative.

The terms of the memorandum are confirmed by the existing cooperation, confirmed by the key parameters of future cooperation and the commitment to continue in one and until the final agreement is reached in the form of a cooperation agreement.

This is a location that is of extraordinary importance for the development of the city of Pilsen. Closing the memorandum is the first step to uncovering the area. As a significant benefit, we consider the contribution of the developer, who will build technical and transport infrastructure in the city at his own expense. It also includes the zero stage of the water supply system, which is necessary in view of the building’s insufficient capacity, said the mayor’s technical deputy Pavel Bosk.

In the area of ​​some of the largest Pilsen castles, which has been abandoned since 1992, thousands of new apartments and buildings with public amenities are to be built. Councilor for the area of ​​housing, including social and affordable housing, Svtlana Budkov stated that the area of ​​the site is huge and has no parallel in Pilsen.

In addition to the residential area with apartment buildings, there is also a park for leisure activities that would serve the public or a mother bike. We will get the land for the stamp from the investor for a symbolic price of 40 crowns per square meter, and we assume that we will also get a pre-emption for the land for residential construction with an area of ​​about five hectares. According to the mayor of Plzeň, from the point of view of the development of the city, this is a key project. The city of Plzeň has been intensively communicating with the developer for several months. However, after 25 years, the possibility of a neglected house will open again, which will once again serve Plzeň.
