The representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina were supposed to arrive in Brno on Friday, but the unfavorable weather in their country caused the cancellation of all nearby flights. Despite the intensive cooperation of both unions in the search for alternative transport options, it was not possible to find a solution in which the visiting players would be ready to start the match with minimal risk of injury after a long journey of twelve to fourteen hours. The opponent took the bus to be ready to play at least Sunday’s game.

The Czechs entered the match as favorites. After a more cautious start, they jumped to a 7:3 lead, after which the visiting bench took a timeout. This helped, the Bosnians began to assert themselves more, but it was the Czech team that gradually bounced back in the score.

Towards the end of the half, the guests stopped being productive, they managed only one goal in the last seven minutes. The Czech goalkeeper Tomáš Mrkva also shone, thanks to which the national team left the locker room more satisfied, leading 15:8.

The beginning of the second half was carried in a clear spirit. For the excited spectators in Brno’s Vodova hall, it was a performance by the Czech players, who scored four goals to jump back to a ten-goal gap, thus gaining a decisive lead.

In the 53rd minute, the Czechs even led by fourteen goals. Not even the fact that the visitors had the end of the match, when they succeeded five times in quick succession, did not change anything about the development of the match.

The Czech national team managed a friendly match with Bosnia and Herzegovina, which it defeated 30:18 on the Brno board.
