Work on the renovation of the office lasted more than 13 months, its renovation was essential for improving the services provided by the Pilsen Municipal Police in this part of the city. “This event represents an important milestone in the development of the Plzeň Municipal Police, and combined patrols are returning to Bory together with foot patrols, which will take care of the safety of local citizens. I’m glad that the police officers got dignified and suitable premises,” said Petr Nováček, commander of the Pilsen Municipal Police, at the official opening of the office on Friday.
“We are working hard to increase security in Pilsen, not only in the city center, but also in its other parts. It cannot be done without increase in the number of police officers, who oversee security in Pilsen. Therefore, I consider it necessary to improve the conditions for employees of the city police, including the necessary background in this direction, and I am glad that we are doing so,” said Pilsen Mayor Roman Zarzycký.
The reconstruction included, among other things, the complete replacement of floor coverings, windows, electricity distribution, waste, including the complete renewal of the sanitary facilities. Air conditioning was also added to increase the comfort of the employees. “The office will better serve the citizens and the police officers themselves, who can use the new premises as adequate facilities for the high-quality performance of their demanding profession,” added Jiří Winkelhöfer, councilor for security.
