An older family house burned down in the Černovír district of Olomouc. The flames, which spread to the entire building, were extinguished by firefighters from the early hours of the morning. One person was injured in the fire and ended up in the care of paramedics.
The house caught fire on the ground floor, then the fire spread throughout the building. “The firemen managed to save the neighboring houses. There was an injured person in the house, he was handed over to the care of paramedics of the emergency medical service,” said Zdeněk Hošák, spokesman for the fire department.
During the intervention, the firemen had to remove part of the roof covering, find and eliminate the sources of the fire. “High-altitude equipment was also used for the intervention,” added Hošák.
The damage will exceed a million crowns. Firefighters are investigating the cause of the fire in cooperation with the police. Intentional establishment is also not excluded.
