The incident happened on Sunday, October 29. A 66-year-old woman and her 23-year-old nephew reported to the police that the woman’s grandson attacked them. “They told the police that the victim’s grandson came to the apartment and demanded money from her. Since she didn’t give him any, he pulled a knife on his grandmother. Under the threat of violence, he demanded money, mobile phones and other things from both of them,” said Kropáčová.
The attacker escalated his threats. According to the police spokesperson, he even threatened to kill both relatives. “He then punched a 23-year-old man in the head and punched his grandmother in the face until she fell to the ground,” she added. “At that moment, the victim managed to escape and call the police. In the meantime, the attacker ran away from the apartment,” she said.

The police began searching for the suspect. According to Kropáčová, they knew that the man had the keys to the attacked apartment and could return there. “After approximately five hours, a policewoman from the Strašnice Local Department noticed a man matching the description of the wanted person near the house. For this reason, the patrol immediately checked him and found out that he was indeed the grandson of the victim“, the spokeswoman said. The police then arrested the man on suspicion of robbery.
