The organizers of the Festival half-marathon have started registration for the next year

The half-marathon will start on Sunday, June 2 at 10 a.m. and will be part of the accompanying program of the 64th Zlín Film Festival. The event is organized by FILMFEST, s.r.o. together with the Běhy Zlín association.

The unique race in the backdrop of the film festival promises a traditionally interesting track that will lead through Zlín’s main landmarks, such as the factory complex, the 21st building, or perhaps the district with Baťovský houses.

“We believe that it will offer local, but especially cross-country runners, the opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of the race in attractive locations in Zlín and the unique architecture of Baťov,” said Zlín Film Festival executive director Jarmila Záhorová.

Runners can again register for races on the half-marathon or quarter-marathon tracks, which they can go to individually or as participants in relays.

“In addition to the four-person relay, there is also a pair’s relay in which two women, two men, or a mixed pair of runners can enter,” said Záhorová, adding that the tandem run will not take place in the 9th year of the Festival half-marathon.

The race will start at 10 a.m. at the Zlín Congress Center.

It is now possible to register for the individual running routes at www.zlinskypulmaraton.cz, where you can also find current information about the race and the current entry fee prices, which have undergone partial changes compared to the previous year.

“We would like to remind runners to take advantage of the possibility of early registration until the end of January and purchase the entry fee for the same amount as last year, i.e. 699 CZK. And that regardless of whether they choose a half-marathon or a quarter-marathon, but also whether they run in a four-person or two-person relay,” explains Jarmila Záhorová on behalf of the organizer.

At the same time, she points out that in the next waves the entry fee will be more expensive than last year. From February 2024, it will increase to 999 CZK, from April 2024 to 1299 CZK per person.

As part of registration, runners will also receive a number of attractive benefits, such as tickets to film screenings or refreshments during the race. If interested, runners have the option to purchase an original vintage functional T-shirt.
