If Saint Martin arrives on a white horse on Saturday, November 11, it is still in the stars, but what is certain is that the soccer amateurs from Pošumaví and southern Pilsen will arrive in Plánice. In the sports hall there, they will play the new season of the winter Girls’ amateur football league in small football. In the new year of the competition, defending champions Kobra Stars Bolešiny, last time’s silver team PS Křeč Mochtín, Topovky Řenče and Andělka Chanovice will strive for the title of winter queens.

“Unfortunately, the starting field has thinned out a lot compared to previous years. Other traditional participants, such as Sokolky Neznašovy or Plánice or Devils Klášter, did not enter the competition. The reason is that they don’t have enough players available to play the competition with. It’s a great shame, but I’m glad that not everyone packed up and that we can keep this competition going. And so that the four teams that will participate in the indoor battles can play at least a little bit, the new competition year will be played traditionally one-on-one, but in an unconventional three-round format,” explained the director of the Girls’ Amateur Football League, Jaroslav Toninger.
As part of the competition, eighteen matches will be shown in the sports hall in Plánice on nine Saturdays. The winter queens will be announced on Saturday, February 17 next year. The biggest favorites to win the golden trophy are undoubtedly the Cobras from Bolešin, but you know it: the ball is round and football has no logic. The opening round of the keenly watched competition will be played this Saturday between Kobra and Chanovice, respectively PS Křeč Mochtín and Topovka Řenče. The first match is scheduled for nine o’clock in the sports hall in Plánice, the second match kicks off an hour later.
