Building permit in the 1st and 3rd quarters of 2023 in the South Moravian region

Building councils in the South Moravian Region issued 6,320 building permits in the 1st and 3rd quarters of this year, compared to the same period in 2022, 993 more permits were issued. The approximate value of permitted buildings this year increased by 33.7% to K56.2 billion. The average value per building permit reached K8.9 million.

In the South Moravian region, it was in January and from 2023 6,320 construction permits per day (SP). A year-on-year decrease in SP expenses was recorded in all regions, the largest decrease was in the Stedo region, where it was 15.1%, followed by the Liberec region with a 13.8% decrease. The South Moravian Region accounted for 10.8% of the republic’s total SP issued.

The largest number of building permits in the South Moravian Region was issued in the Brno-venkov district (1,574), this district accounted for a quarter of the total. Conversely, the least SP was issued in the Vykov district, namely 509 (8.1% of the total). A moderate decrease in the number of SPs issued in the region was recorded in all districts. The lowest decrease was in the districts of Vykov (by 21.7%) and Brno-venkov (by 19.3%).

In the region, the estimated value of buildings was the highest, for which SP was issued, reported in the Brno-msto district, amounting to 23.2 billion K, representing 41.4% of the total in the region. A value of around 3.6 billion K was recorded in the Vykov district. Orientan, the value of buildings increased most significantly in the Brno-msto district, by 89.4%. The increase was recorded in all other districts except the Vykov district, where the year-on-year decrease was 7%. The average value per building permit in the region ranged from K 4.2 million in the Znojmo district to K 21.8 million in the Brno-msto district.
