On November 1, the award ceremony of the 8th year of the Welcoming Office motivational competition took place, where municipal authorities with extended powers and the authorities of the city districts of Prague 1-22 competed for the title of the most welcoming office in the region and the republic.
“The competition maps the quality of the pro-client approach of the authorities. It monitors the degree of online resolution of agendas, the availability of services for citizens, the openness of town halls, the level of communication or, for example, the development of citizen participation in public affairs.” reports the Ministry of the Interior.
In the national ranking, no city from the Pilsen Region made it into the top three awardees. Pelhřimov is the absolute winner, Kolín finished second, and Brno takes third place.
“I am pleased that 130 municipalities with extended scope and urban districts of the capital city of Prague signed up for the competition. Thanks to this, we have a decent overview of how city representatives and office workers take care of improving the lives of their fellow citizens. A big thank you to them for that.” said the senior director of the public administration section, Jiří Koubek.
The Ministry of the Interior’s resort also awarded other cities that provide people with high-quality and modern public services, and the 3 best cities in each region were also awarded.
