Clouds and rain will grip the Czech Republic, and snowfall may surprise in the mountains at the weekend

During Thursday should be clear to semi-clear. In the morning and early morning, fogs may occasionally occur, low cloudiness will prevail in Moravia. During the day, cloudiness will gradually increase from the west, in the evening people in the west and northwest of the Czech Republic can count on places of light rain, remind experts from ČHMÚ.

Thermometers will range from 9 to 14 °C, in the case of long-lasting light clouds, the temperature will drop to seven degrees Celsius. At 1,000 meters above sea level, it will be around 4 °C, in the Šumava region up to 7 °C. There will be a weak, sometimes moderate wind with a speed of 3 to 6 meters per second, which will increase to 4 to 8 m/s in the east, and in places it will reach up to 15 m/s in gusts.

IN Friday night it will be cloudy to overcast, in Moravia or Silesia it may be partly cloudy accompanied by fog. There will also occasionally be light showers or light rain. The lowest temperatures will range from 7 to 3 °C, with weaker winds they will drop to one degree Celsius.

A similar pattern of weather will continue as well on Friday. Cloudy to overcast awaits us. There will be showers or occasional rain in places, especially in the mountains. During the morning, precipitation in Moravia and Silesia should be more persistent. Mixed or snowy precipitation should increase in the mountains. In the afternoon and evening, the showers will recede and it will be partly cloudy from the west.

Temperatures should be between 7 and 11 °C, with a light wind blowing at a speed of three to six meters per second in places at first, which will gradually weaken.

The weekend in the mountains will bring snow

During Saturday clouds will cover the sky. Occasional rain or showers will occur in most areas, and it should snow from altitudes above 700 meters. Night temperatures will range from 5 to 1 °C, during the day between 4 and 9 °C. A light westerly wind will blow at a speed of 3 to 7 meters per second.

The weather should be the same Sunday. Cloudy to overcast awaits us. At first, we can expect occasional rain or showers, in locations above 600 meters above sea level, precipitation may be mixed or snowy. The lowest night temperatures will range between 4 and 0 °C, in case of reduced cloud cover they will drop to -2 degrees Celsius. Daily temperatures will range between 4 and 8 °C. Light westerly winds between 2 and 6 meters per second will decrease during the day.
