A total of 23 thousand crowns was raised by the auction of sports jerseys, books and relics, which was part of the Visegrad Cup international football tournament in Malé Hoštice. Half of this amount was ceremoniously handed over in the form of a symbolic check to the children’s department of the Silesian Hospital.
Dalibor Hudec, head of the children’s department SNO: “We are certainly happy. As already mentioned, we have been working with the companies and organizers of this tournament here for many years, and we already have the money, so we will probably purchase some medical equipment.”
Andreas Drastík, organizer of the tournament, SK SIPA sport: “There was over 20,000 from the auction, then the sponsor gave 10,000 to the Home for the elderly. There were about 5, 6 jerseys. They were jerseys of various athletes, mainly football and here basketball jerseys from Opava. The second amount goes to the Home for the elderly in Kravařy.”
The tournament is intended for footballers born in 2014 and younger. Every year, it offers great facilities, atmosphere and performances, which is also appreciated by the sponsors.
Tomáš Fládr, sponsor: “It’s perfectly executed, really hats off and you can see that the money there is really spent in the right way and in the right place.”
The next edition will take place again in Malé Hoštice.
