The 80-year-old senior from Hradec Králové has had a rough few days. She fell in her apartment and couldn’t get up. Even the city police officers helped her.
A friend of the 80-year-old senior contacted the Hradec Králové police on Thursday morning. She couldn’t call her for several days and she only lives in Rakovnick, so she didn’t have the opportunity to visit her. She asked the officers if they would check the woman.
“The patrol of the departure group arrived at the scene within a few minutes. No one responded to the bell or banging, but the ringing of a mobile phone could be heard,” informed police spokeswoman Eva Kněžourová. Police checked to see if the woman was in hospital, but this was not confirmed.
Firefighters, the rescue service and the police therefore arrived at the scene. The senior woman had security locks installed on the door, which made it difficult to open the door. Her apartment is located on the 8th floor, firefighters got into it with the help of a platform.
“There was a dehydrated elderly woman lying in the living room. She said that she had been lying here since Saturday, she was not injured, she just couldn’t get up on her own,” said Kněžourová. Paramedics treated her and took her to the hospital.
