This year, Advent begins on December 3, and Prague 9, like every year, prepares a number of Christmas-themed events for this time. However, with the support of winter fun, it starts at the end of November.
List of pre-Christmas events in Prague 9
November 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Mikuláš food collection for residents of Prague 9 at Prague 9 Town Hall, Sokolovská 14/324, Vysočany – you can bring non-perishable food and hygiene items
November 25: Opening of the ice rink in Vysočany Park Zahrádky
November 26: Opening of the ice rink at Střížkov in Friendship Park
November 30 from 10 a.m.: Premiere of the Christmas fairy tale Jesus in Heels at the Gong Theatre, Sokolovská 191. The show is intended for children aged 5 and up.
December 1: Opening of the ice rink in Vysočany in the Podviní park
December 2 from 2 p.m.: Mikulášská nadílka u Kilián, Nad Kolčavkou 907/8, Prague 9 in cooperation with the Gong Theater
December 3 from 2:30 p.m.: Christmas joy in Gallery 9 and in the ceremonial hall of the Vysočan town hall, Sokolovská 14/324 – in cooperation with the Gong Theater)
December 3 from 6 p.m.: Lighting of the Christmas tree in Václavka Park in Střížkov in cooperation with the Association for a Happier Střížkov)
December 5 from 3 p.m.: Opening of the competition exhibition for the prettiest Christmas tree of children from kindergartens and primary schools in Prague 9 at Gallery Harfa, Českomoravská 2420/15a
December 5 from 4 p.m.: Santa’s gift in Podviní at the Park Podviňák bistro
December 5 and 6 from 2 p.m.: Performance by actor Petr Nárožný at the Gong Theater, Sokolovská 191, as a Christmas present for seniors from the ninth district
December 10 from 3 p.m.: Christmas in Zahrádky in Vysočany at Café Park Zahrádky
December 12 from 5 p.m.: opening of a sales exhibition of works by clients of Domov Petr Mačkov in Gallery 9, Sokolovská 14/324, Vysočany
December 13 from 2 p.m.: Christmas journey in the Friendship park in Prosek in cooperation with KMC Knoflík and the Střížkov ice rink
December 17 from 4 p.m.: Christmas stop at Zvonička in Hrdlořezy in cooperation with Spartak Hrdlořezy
December 18 from 10:00 a.m.: Pouring fish soup, for the tenth time at the UN Square in Vysočany
