In the Czech Republic, the legendary confection is coming to an end. They say they are not interested in sweets

Rum pralines, which many of us associate with visits to our grandparents, will soon remain only in memories. Production is winding down this year, and they will no longer be available after purchase from stores. Some stores don’t even have any stock anymore.

“We are adding new products to our product range, which we believe will meet the expectations, high demands and preferences of consumers. On the contrary, we are forced to remove products whose popularity among customers is declining, which was also the case with rum pralines for a long time, from the portfolio,” Nestlé Česko spokesperson Tereza Skrbková explained to Deník.

“We believe that consumers will find their way to our other products, the popularity of which is increasing significantly among a wide range of consumers, thanks to a number of novelties and new flavors,” she added.

Pralines began to be produced in the 1960s in the Zora Olomouc factory. The legendary candies are ending after 58 long years.
