Advent and Christmas time are already knocking on the door and memories of summer games by the water and on the beach are slowly covered by falling leaves. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Even now is a good time to go to the beach! In Prague 8, there is the largest indoor sandpit in the capital, which opened in Beach Club Ládví.
The largest area for beach sports in the Czech Republic, Beachklub Ládví (Chabařovická 4, Prague 8) in cooperation with the city district of Prague 8 and Osmička for the family offers free entry to the covered hall on certain days and hours, where it is possible to go even in adverse winter weather. The sandpit can be used by parents with children, schools, kindergartens, as well as other interested parties, every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. until the end of March 2024. And it’s completely free.
It is already a traditional event in Prague 8, which has been held since 2010, so it enjoys great interest. Parents can try all kinds of activities here, mainly sports. An indoor sandpit undoubtedly has many advantages, which include, for example, protection against unwanted visitors, whether animal or human, so that small and large athletes can walk safely barefoot on the surface. Sports activities are prepared for children, be it climbing tunnels, obstacle courses, ball sports. However, it should be noted that the hall will not be heated during these times.
