Astana’s draw with Ballkani helped Pilsen advance in the Conference League

Prague – Astana football players drew 0:0 with Ballkani at home in the European Conference League. In group C, both teams lose eight points to the leader Plzeň, who beat Dinamo Zagreb 1-0 and, as the first team in the competition, secured victory in the group and progress to the round of 16 ahead of schedule. Striker Tomáš Pekhart helped Legia Warsaw win 2:0 over Zrinjski Mostar with an assist. Midfielder Jaromír Zmrhal also scored a goal in Slovan Bratislava’s 1:1 draw with Lille.

Two weeks ago, Astana won 2:1 in Kosovo, but the rematch offered minimal chances. The Kazakh team has a better mutual balance with Ballkani when the points match and is so far closer to the second place. The fourth Dinamo Zagreb loses a point to both competitors.

Legia Warsaw defeated Mostar for the second time and came significantly closer to the promotion. Nigerian striker Orban from Genk also has the same number of goals, who scored a hat-trick in a 3-2 win at Breidablik today.

Trnava, in a lineup with Czech defender Erik Daniel, drew 1:1 on the field of Nordsjaelland and gained the first point, but lost the chance to participate in the elimination phase. Former Pilsen striker Ďuriš responded to Ingvartsen’s penalty kick goal after the change of sides.

Midfielder Antonín Barák remained on the Fiorentina bench for the entire match during a 1-0 win at the Serbian club Čukarički. “Violets” lead the balanced group F by two points ahead of Ferencváros and Genk, their mutual duel today ended in a 1:1 draw.
