On November 9, the Czech-Bavarian company InterCora celebrates its thirtieth anniversary since its foundation. As a gift, she gave herself the ceremonial opening of the new Alice shopping center in Pilsen in Skvrňany.
The 30th anniversary celebrations began at 10 a.m. with the ceremonial opening of the new ALICE shopping center in Pilsen, Skvrňany. The new shopping center, which meets all strict environmental regulations, replaced the aging shopping center built in the 1980s. The main tenant remained the PENNY discount store with the MÚÚÚ butcher shop. The shopping center was further supplemented with new TEDI, Pepco, SUPER ZOO, Devětsil pharmacy and TABAKRA tobacco stores. There will also be a brand new restaurant. In cooperation with the city of Plzeň and the Municipal District of Plzeň 3, it was possible to create a whole new area on the site, on which a new park with play elements will be created in the future. The construction of the ALICE shopping center also gave impetus to the reconstruction of parking spaces in Terezie Brzkové Street, which will increase the number of parking spaces for local residents.
The festive program is followed by a professional conference at the Vienna House Easy Plzeň hotel under the auspices of the Mayor of Pilsen, Roman Zarzycký, on the topic: Transformation of the businessman in the age of data. For example, Miroslav Singer, chief economist of Generali CEE Holding and former governor of the Czech National Bank, or Jan Kubíček, chairman of the executive committee of the Association of Shopping Centers of the Czech Republic, will speak at the conference.
In the evening, the New Stage of the Josef Kajetán Tyl Theater will be covered in the blue-white-black colors that have represented the InterCora company since its inception. The performance of the musical Candide by the world-famous composer Leonard Bernstein will be opened by the welcoming minister of culture of the Czech Republic and former mayor of the city of Pilsen, Martin Baxa.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of our company. The main reason behind the success is the determination to succeed, the diligence and precision of our employees, good cooperation with business partners and correct relations with the city governments,” agreed the owners of the InterCora group, Günther Zembsch and Ivan Hlaváček, during the festive day.
