When the kings of hard electronics visited Prague for the last time in 2020, they sold out the premises of Prague’s Akropolis Palace twice in a row. And since it was a very successful party, it was only a matter of time before the trio of Belgians returned to our capital. We are happy that this will happen on December 9 this year in the larger premises of Prague’s Meet Factory. That is, shortly after their iconic album Front by Front celebrates a respectable 35 years. Plus with a very attractive special guest.

EBM legends Queue 242 are currently fully dedicated to touring, often with British companions Nitzer Ebb. Even after more than four decades, the gentlemen still manage to unleash digital hell in the club, which is admirable at their age. In addition, at concerts, the group includes new compositions in their sets after years. Does this mean that before the December concert we will see a new studio recording years later? Considering how many new bands today are blatantly taking inspiration from the genre that Front 242 helped establish, this would be perfect timing!

Proof that Electronic Body Music is not a dead genre is, among other things, the existence and work of the Swedish artist and producer Rein, who will be opening for the mentioned concert. Over the years, she has evolved from an EBM princess into a strong and distinctive personality of the electronic scene, who has gone beyond the boundaries of the dark subculture and performed at non-genre festivals such as Sziget, Eurosonic or Roskilde. In 2020, Rein released the well-received record “Reincarnated”, in which she artfully combined EBM references with softer dark/synthpop positions.
