The representatives of the educational and career counselors of the region informed about the admission procedure at secondary schools and other important news. The meeting with them took place on Thursday, November 9, in the Olomouc BEA Center as part of the project Regional Action Plan for the Development of Education of the Olomouc Region III.
Important information was given to them on behalf of the Olomouc region by Aleš Jakubec, regional councilor for education and Miroslav Gajdůšek, head of the Department of Education and Youth of the Olomouc Region Regional Office.
The main topic was the admissions process. The effort of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports is to digitize the admission procedure to the greatest extent possible through the newly prepared information system. The purpose of digitization is the immediate classification of applicants without a time delay, as there will be no need to hand over enrollment slips to the schools where the applicant was accepted. This year’s ninth-graders can apply for up to three schools or selected high school subjects. However, the entire system requires that the applicant for studies put the schools in order according to their priorities.
In addition to these topics, the principals of various secondary schools also took up the presentation and presented their places of work.
