For the second time, citizens have the opportunity to meet with the city management regarding the concept of transport solutions in Pilsen na Slovany. You will learn, for example, how Koterovská, Nepomucká and Slovanská streets will be relieved after the construction of the circuit and the new connection.
The second meeting with citizens on the topic of the results of the analysis of the conceptual solution for transport in Slovany is being prepared by the Department of Conception and Development of the City of Pilsen together with the Municipal District of Pilsen 2 Slovany on Wednesday, November 22, from 5 p.m. in the meeting room of the Slovany Town Hall.
“At the first meeting, which took place in September, we presented the results of an analysis of the transport solution in Slovan to the residents of Slovan. A number of questions were already asked on the spot, which we answered to the citizens. However, this is a broad topic and it is clear to me that many questions may have occurred participants until later. That’s why we granted the request and will hold this second meeting, at which we will give space for clarifying everything that citizens are interested in.” says deputy for transport and environment Aleš Tolar.
The concept and development department of the city of Pilsen, in cooperation with the processor of the analysis, PUDIS a.s., examined a total of 5 variants of the transport connection between Slovan and the eastern ring road. The analysis examined individual variants from the point of view of the functioning of the transport system, the effect of transport on the city and the technical and financial demands.
“In a comparison of all aspects, the original version considered by the spatial plan, the connection at Na Růžku Street, came out as the most suitable. The specific project has not yet been worked out, but a two-lane road should be proposed here, which will have a distance of at least 15, but mostly up to 30 meters from the current development. This will create a new street with avenues of new trees and more parking spaces for local citizens.” explains Petr Raška from the Department of Conception and Development of the City of Pilsen.
After the construction of the circuit and the new connection, Koterovská, Nepomucká and Slovanská streets, for example, should be relieved, and a significant decrease in the traffic load is also expected in Částkova, U Světovar, Petřínská, Lobezská and a number of other streets.
“People could get acquainted with the results of the analysis at the meeting in September and subsequently on the website of the Department of Conception and Development of the City of Pilsen. Until mid-October, there was space for sending email questions, and now we will meet with the citizens once more on this topic.” adds Ing. Rasha.
