Summary of the day: Bad luck for the Czech selections, U18 and U16 only fell in raids

--

The even battle of the Czech 18 was decided only by raids

The first period did not bring goal joy. Both sides managed to create decent chances, but all of them ended up in the power of the goalkeepers. The closest to the goal were the Swiss, who hit the bar in one of the power plays.

What did not work out in the first period, the country of the Helvetic Cross took advantage in the 28th minute. David Bossona sent an uncatchable power bomb to open the scoring of the match. Seven minutes later, it was already equalized, after an individual action by Štěpán Hoch, who leaned his shot against the left post of the Swiss goal.

The third act brought the second Czech goal at the end of the 46th minute. Petr Sikora took advantage of his numerical advantage with a great swing, which did not give the Swiss masked man a chance. Less than four minutes before the end, it was equalized again. Janis Weber remained unguarded in front of the Czech goal and coolly sent the puck behind Ebenstreit’s back.

Overtime didn’t cut the match, so raids had to come next. The Swiss dominated them 2:0, for which they took an extra point.

A late goal at the end of the match decided the loss of the Czech under-18 women

The first period offered a battle of great chances, but all of them remained unused in the end. The Czech players were able to fend off the onslaught of the Germans and subsequently also threatened themselves. From’s throw was dotted along the way and almost floated between the concretes of the German goalkeeper.

In the second act, the Germans escaped three to one. Hanna Weichenhain took the whole event on herself and beat Šenková with a great swing shot. Moments after the half of the game, the Czech substitute decided to change in the goal area, and so Šenková was replaced by Hořínková.

Just before the end of the middle 20 minutes, the Czechs managed to reduce the lead. The throw-in from the blue line was collected by Viktorie Jílková, who sent the disc into the upper right corner of the German goal.

The final period offered two tied goals in the 48th minute. First, the Germans took the lead thanks to Anabel Seyer. Subsequently, the Czechs were soon able to respond when Linda Vocetková finished off a great individual event.

Although it seemed that the duel could go to extra time, in the end it was not so. In the fifty-eighth minute, Anna Rose’s hidden shot fell behind Hořínková’s back, and the Germans could rejoice at the win for the full number of points.

The raid drama was decided only in the eighth series

The first ten minutes of the match belonged to the Swiss, who threatened Láryš’s cage several times. The Czech masked man was attentive and did not drop a single disc behind his back. In the 17th minute, Kachlík tried to make the Czech team happy with a goal, who only tested the opponent’s goalkeeper with his swift shot.

The don’t-give-you-get rule was confirmed right at the beginning of the second act, when Kerbler didn’t use a big chance at first. From the subsequent counterattack, Maxime Sauthier made a pin out of the Czech defense, who passed the disc past the helpless Láryš.

The Czech youngsters immediately recovered from the conceded goal and leveled the match after a few minutes. On the edge of the goal area, Jan Hrček operated excellently, pushing the puck past Kunz’s back. In the 38th minute, it was even more cheerful. Martin Hečka skillfully skated to the top of the left circle, from where he then put a great shot into the Swiss goal.

The final period brought a quick goal for the Swiss, Pascal got through Schürmann. The rest of the match was defended very well by both teams, so it was time for overtime. This first brought two quick breaks by the Swiss, but the Czech defense stood firm. At the very end of extra time, Ruml had a cut on his stick, but even after several attempts at the goal, the puck did not reach the goal.

Separate raids lasted until the eighth series, where Vito Thoma scored an extra point for the country of the Helvetic Cross.

Milan Razým’s view: “The first period was relatively balanced, neither side created any great chances. In the second 20 minutes, we wanted to increase the tempo and pressure, which we also succeeded in doing. We were able to get our opponents into a tight spot, from which we unfortunately only netted a goal to make it 1:0, then the Swiss caught up with us. We entered the third period with a 2:1 lead, but we got the equalizer from a rare action. In the end, it was decided in raids in which the opponent was happier.”
